Gather your favourite creative companion—whether that’s your partner, your sister, or your best friend—and join us for two inspiring days learning the art of hand-building and sculpting at the iconic Driving Creek Pottery. Guided by professional potter Iona Matheson, you’ll create in a stunning studio surrounded by regenerating native forest.
Your experience includes two nights of boutique accommodation at Buffalo Lodge, located just five minutes from Coromandel Town. Wake each morning to panoramic sea views and a continental breakfast before heading to the pottery studio for relaxed sessions from 10:00am to 2:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Designed for complete beginners through to experienced makers, this weekend offers the perfect opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and immerse yourself in the unique artistic heritage of Driving Creek.

Please note: To ensure a cozy, intimate atmosphere and to match the unique layout of our venue, bookings must be made in pairs (groups of 2).
Buffalo Lodge is a premium, boutique space with only 4 rooms available in total, some of which feature comfortable double/queen beds. Because of this room configuration, this retreat is exclusively designed for couples or pairs who are happy to share a room, or larger groups of 4 or 8 booking together. We are unable to accommodate single bookings for this event.
